Flyer GRID

This will be a virtual exhibition at this stage because NZ is still in Lockdown Level 3/4.
All images will be uploaded here and available for sale from Saturday 4 September.

One of the primary attributes of the grid is its flatness, a structure that maps a surface.

In this exhibition Alva and Aalderink apply their distinctive application of material processes within the organisational grid framework. Both artists create innovative compositions with found materials, in Alva’s case this is found wool and cotton skeins, where Aalderink meticulously fragments old beehive panels.

Non-symbolic, these works combined use colour and repetition to evoke thought and emotive content, inviting the audience to construct their own meaning of the underlying stories these compositions hold.
